CVS LONGS DRUGS CHARITY CLASSIC

I was in Florida last week, and had a great time catching up with friends. The weather was typically hot and humid, and, I got a little practice in. I had a lesson from my coach Dave Whelan, and we did some great work with my chipping. My grip had become quite tight, which results in a loss of feel, and control. It's amazing how quickly you can fall into bad habits without realizing it!

On Monday the 21st, I was at the Palos Verdes Country Club in L.A, and was involved in a golf day for my sponsor M&M's. I was on the Par 3 8th hole, hitting shots in to the green for the groups coming through. We had a really fun day, and the course was fantastic!

And now, we are in Danville, CA for the CVS Longs Drugs Charity Classic. I played a practice round yesterday, and made the mistake of not checking out the weather before I headed out to the course. I assumed it was going to be cool up here in Northern CA, and it has been really cold in prior years. I soon found out, whilst dressed in a long sleeved shirt and black slacks, that it was going to be 100 degrees. Ooops!! But, I survived, and dressed more appropriately for my practice session today! The course looks like it is in great shape, and, yes, the hot weather is going to continue. The real challenge this week, is staying patient for the 9 cart rides around the golf course. Wow! The golf course is nestled in the canyon, and, unfortunately, there are many cart rides from the greens to tees. We are well supported by the fans and volunteers this week, and will have a lot of fun out there. My goal is to stay patient, and stay positive, and stay present. Hit good quality golf shots, and give myself birdie opportunities. Sounds pretty simple right? Let's see how it goes! Thanks for checking in, and thanks for your support!
