Fordo's Family Charity Golf Day

Well, what a great day!

I played my first 18 holes in a number of weeks at Fordo's Family Charity Golf Day. The incredible David Fordham has held this charity day at his beloved Hope Island Golf Resort for the last 6 years. The day first began as a family competition between the Fordham's and the Prosser's and has evolved into a fun family day for all - in the name of charity. The beneficiary for the event is Pat Rafter's Cherish the Children Foundation. With Pat's father Jim as a former Australian Father of the Year, and Pat as a former Australian of the Year, they headlined many family pairings.

I played with my sister Kylie, and the pressure was on as we had alot of "family rivalry" as we took on my husband Greg and his daughter Emily. And the good news is..........Kylie and I defeated Greg and Emily, and we all had lots of laughs, good shots and good times.

The golf day ended with a number of auctions with the funds all going to the charity, and the best news is that $30,000 was raised! We can't wait for next years event!
