New Jersey, Florida, and Australia in one week!

Hi Everyone!

I ended up playing well at the Navistar, but didn't make enough birdie putts, so I finished 44th for the week. I didn't have my normal distance control, so, my putts were mostly from the front or the back of the greens. Not really in birdie range, especially on those huge Robert Trent Jones greens! I did hang in there though, and had four consistent rounds.

My week has begun with my involvement in the annual Cox Charity Classic. The day is held every year in honor of Steven A Cox, who was the son, brother and friend of many when he passed away from cancer over 20 years ago. The "Friends of Steve" have gathered every year for the last 20 years, to celebrate his life and continue his legacy through philanthropic initiatives. I became involved 3 years ago, when the Steven A Cox Foundation chose the Val Skinner Foundation and the LIFE  Event (Lpga pros In the Fight to Eradicate breast cancer) and St Jude Hospital as beneficiaries. The day of golf was held at the beautiful New Jersey National Golf Club, in Basking Ridge, NJ, and was a fantastic day. We played a little golf, and heard from two incredible women that are fighting breast cancer right now.The fact that the event has been held for 20 years, shows an incredible commitment by the "Friends of Steve" to celebrate his life and character and to also raise money for research into cancer. The LIFE Event was started by LPGA Pro Val Skinner, and has been incredibly important in raising awareness about Breast Cancer through the Susan G Komen On The Go Initiative, and offering Genetic Counseling through the New Jersey Cancer Institiutes LIFE Center. And to think I am fortunate enough to be involved in these tournaments and meet all these incredible people just by playing golf!! Wow!! On Sunday this week, I am competing in my first ever organized bike ride! I am riding, along with my Mum, and sisters Kylie and Melanie on the version of the Wilson HTM Brisbane to the Gold Coast Cycle Challenge. Of course, I am arriving back in Australia later this week, and will be ready to go for the Cycle Challenge on Sunday. Now, I am going to take it easy, as it is my inaugural bike ride, but, I am sure some of my competitive spirit will kick in, and I'll make sure I will finish!! I guess, if I can walk for 5 hours around a golf course,  riding for a few hours shouldn't be too hard right?? There are 9000 riders signed up for the day, so I am really excited!

I will be in Australia for four weeks, and once I recover from the bike ride, i'll be back into practice, and will prepare for the final event of the year - the Rolex Tour Championship, in Houston, Texas. So, wish me luck on Sunday, and check back in for some photos!

Thanks for your support
