Shoprite LPGA Classic

Hey Everyone!

Five under for my first tournament back was a nice result last week. I played very solid, and gave myself many birdie opportunities, and after six months away from the game, that's all I can ask!

My ankle held up quite well. I am continuing my rehab, and the ice every day. Panther Creek last week was a lovely flat course to make my 2010 season debut on, and this week in New Jersey the course is nice and flat too!

Speaking of New Jersey, we rolled into town on Monday, and I had an opportunity to play the course at Seaview on Tuesday in the Pro Am. The course is in great shape. Seaview is a Donald Ross Design, and it is always a treat to play his courses. It's more enjoyable when the wind isn't howling into you, but, from what I understand, that is rare on this course. I'll have practice round tomorrow, hopefully with no rain, and then we'll be ready to tee it up in the first round on Friday! In three round tournaments, it is definitely a benefit to have an early tee time in the first round, and I can't be happier with an 8:35 tee time. I'm going to change balls this week, and move from the Bridgestone RXS to the Bridgestone RX. In the wind the RX performs a little better for me, and as it gets pretty windy out there at Seaview, I think it's a good decision.

News from Australia is that Qld won the State of Origin Series (For all the Non Australians reading, the State of Origin Series is an intense series of 3 Rugby League matches, between two teams - Queensland and New South Wales). Bummer. Many of you are probably wondering why I go for the Blues when I have grown up in Qld? Well. I was born in New South Wales, and will continue to support the Blues in the State of Origin. I tell you what though, my patience has just about worn thin - it's no fun supporting the losers......and for the last five years! That's too many dinners to a miss k webb!!! Everybody has there opinion on what they do wrong. I don't know much about the technical aspects of Rugby League, but I am a little superstitious, and when things aren't going right, you've gotta change something! So, my vote is to change the uniform....the pale blue is looking a little tired. Let's spice it up a little!!

Well, that's enough Rugby League talk from me! The NSW Blues weren't able to give me any inspiration, so it's back to the tournament this week. Let's work on another solid week in preparation for next weeks Major!

All the best

Rachel
